Netanyahu held secret talks with the UAE President in Abu Dhabi

According to a Times of Israel entry at 23:20 on 27 September, Netanyahu landed in the UAE by private jet at 15:10 and spent about 4 hours with Bin Zayed. A Reuters report published on Yahoo News said a senior Israeli official had confirmed the visit. Netanyahu's office and the UAE Foreign Ministry did not initially comment. Neither source disclosed the agenda of the meeting, and it could not be verified.
According to Reuters, the visit followed a Haaretz report that Bin Zayed had warned Netanyahu of a Hamas operation about 1 week before the attack of 7 October 2023. Netanyahu denied the claim. The UAE, for its part, said it has had open and direct channels of communication since relations were established in 2020. Reuters said this was at least the 2nd meeting between the two leaders in 2026; the first took place in Al Ain in March.
